Great points, graciously put. Something I haven't been putting across well enough, for my own part in this, is that we need AND logic to understand what's going on here. It's not blogs vs. papers, or bloggers vs. journos. It's blogs AND papers, bloggers AND journalists. I'd hate right now to make an OR choice between the two. The fact that such a choice is even conceivable, however, says something about how far blogs have come. That distance is something writers covering blogs for the first time would do well to consider.
