Are you saying journalism isn't a legitimate subject of journalists (which is what Dan, Dave and I all are)? And why do you think we ignore "the journalists?" Not clear to me. As for the original "Web rush," it's important to remember that both sides made huge mistakes and got lots of stuff wrong (e.g. thinking there were durable businesses in "aggregating eyeballs" and pestering them with banner adverting). Doesn't it make sense for all of us to try to understand what's happening to journalism -- an important way our species informs itself -- as a whole? And why dismiss anything becuase it has a bottom line to care about?
