This is horrible news. Paul Wellstone was by all accounts a good man and a friend to many, including the technology industry. He died with his wife, a daughter and five others. Survived by two children and six grandchildren.

Stirred, not shaken
About an hour ago my eye caught what looked like a dust devil on the water. When I looked up I saw that the little devil was the business nd of a long thin waterspout connecting the ocean to a squall line just off the ship's stern. Out on a deck I counted no less than four waterspouts along the length of the squall. Quite an impessive sight. I got a few shots with a camcorder. The one above was the best of the bunch.
