Another example of the friction is the battle for NPR federal funding. There has been a very public dispute between the American Values Coalition and NPR over a report that implied that the AVC was involved in the Anthrax letters send to congress last year.

I listened to the congressional hearing on C-SPAN radio this summer and found it interesting, particularly since NPR is usually on my radio if C-SPAN isn't.
