Shields are up here in Fortress Washington, drove my the Pentagon and noticed the usual 50 cal machine guns on the humvees have been replaces by Avenger Sams..and they also carry a cluster of Stingers. This are supposed to be deployed around DC today. I am on the inbound track to Reagan National and we have had copters buzzing around here for days. The NY post tallied up those lose from the broadcast community, I linked it from my blog at www.myjamby.com/medianetwork. The audio you have heard in most documentaries appears to have been WINS. The MTV doc does the Howard Stern show, as it's background audio. Looks like the next big tower will be in either Jersey City or Bayone. New York wanted nothing to do with another broadcast tower so Jersey stepped in. Before cable the big stick in the sky was needed. With cable it didn't matter anymore, which was why no one was in a hurry to rebuild. Unlike Moscow when the TV tower went down so did TV. None of the major NYC Fms was at the WTC, as such listeners probably didn't notice a difference in reception. Limbaugh will have the Veep from a secret location on his radio show today. Don and Mike will simulcast on WARW the infinity classic rock as well as flagship station WJFK. They will be live from the Pentagon.
