CD copying
Use the Disc copy application - it will make images on the HD that you can burn from later, and they are exact clones. On the permissions issue, you probably have 2 different user ids involved, and one is not logged in. You need to do some kind of 'sudo chown' command in Terminal, but get a Unix geek to talk you through it. There are responses to this message:
