Re: Saturday, July 6, 2002
My current ISP is charging me around $200 for 200 MB, and I can't afford to spend $10 for each additional 10 MB. So I keep taking down stuff to make room for other stuff. Breaking links, is what I'm doing. Yes, I'm 404ing my own shit. True, it's not stuff meant for general consumption, but still, I'd rather leave it all up there.
Doc,
If you need more space on the web, shoot me an email. I've got a colo'd server and can probably help make something work for you a shitload cheaper than your current ISP is doing. If you want it kept private, that's a small bit of configuration we would hopefully have to do just once. http://betternerds.com/ is my business that does that sort of thing.
Or you could talk to the nice folks at http://www.pair.com/ who do a truly world-class job of hosting static sites, according to the folks I know who use them.
