Goin' slow
I'm at my aunt's house in exurban New Jersey, where we've been celebrating her 90th and having a terrific kind of family reunion thing — the first chance I've had in years to reconnect and hang out with the side of the family I grew up with, many of
whom I haven't seen in 10, 20, 30 or even 40 years.
It's a high-conviviality/low-connectivity affair, and it'll continue through tomorrow and Monday. Meanwhile the motel where we're staying has an old PBX and is resolutely hostile to dial up. My aunt's computer, which I'm using in EditThisPage moder here on the blog, is on a cable modem system that brooks no interlopers, so I can't borrow it. And dial-up here is both too impractical and too slow to even bother with.
I haven't looked at a single email, by the way, and might not have a chance until Tuesday afternoon when I'm back in California.
So: the blogging really is gonna slow down for the next couple of days. Not necessarily a bad thing when you're having
a helluva good time.
