Hi Doc, I've used three different products from Tom Bihn. All are excellent and serve their pupose well. First their was the cafe compiter case, for daily toting. (Stolen by friends and then family members status unknown.) Next was a Brain Bag with a brain cell, still going strong when I need to carry more than just a laptop. Made umpteen trips from New York to Montreal with no damage (except to my knees when I flew rather than drove, but you can't fault the bag for that.) The sweet spot here is that you have a small "briefcase" for after you're in town (the brain cell). Last is an Eclipse, a small briefcase with laptop padding built in. Doubles as "brain cell" if somewhat bulkier and works very well in combination with the heavy duty Eagle creek strap (bought seperately). If you already have a bag to shove stuff in, a brain cell or G4 Monolith might be all you need or want. I've spoken with Tom a number of times, and he's always given a damn.
