Shoot, it was too late last night and I forgot Doc is on a G4. So much for my BreezeBrowser recommendation. It's Windows-only, because Canon's only released its SDK on Windows. It'd probably be slow in Virtual PC. The Canon EXIF MakerNote data format which stores extra data about each exposure was decoded by David Burren: http://www.burren.cx/david/canon.html, at least.
