Okay, then how come Flackbusters.com isn't taken?
Deborah Branscum just called to talk about...
The Crisis in PR
Seems there's a flacklash against the second-oldest profession in the marketing world. There's an article by that title in the May issue of Red Herring (sorry, no direct link). Plus there's...
- Sabrina Horn's piece in Marketing Computers this month can be found here:
- Sam Whitmore's column on the same topic (authorization required at the link)
- Two James Fallows pieces in The Standard (1, 2)
- Two exerpts from Cluetrain on the subject in The Standard (1, 2)
- An Upside piece I wrote on the subject in '92 that says much of what we later wrote in the "Markets are Conversations" chapter of The Cluetrain Manifesto
- A piece by Jeff Tarter in Softletter on The Decline & Fall of PR
All of which is grist for the mill in which I will play a stone: Deborah's Buzz2000, on July 11 in San Francisco. Sam, Sabrina, Deborah and other concened opponents of PR as Usual will be there to make as much trouble and sense as we can.
As for Flackbusters.com, it REALLY IS available, in .org, .com and all the usual permutations. I'd take it myself if I wasn't too busy with everything else.
