Something in commons
I see the point of keeping blogs in the position of free speech rather than media and thus out of bounds of regulation. but that doesn't mean that blogs are not a form of media, that some blogs and the bloggers themselves have influence, that a voice doesn't become a leading voice for other readers.
Is the insistence on just keeping blogs as journals just politically defensive positioning? There is a social movement here, a media like happening where a couple of reference by a couple of bloggers leads to a top ranking on google. avoiding examining that side of things just for the sake of staying under the radar of the right wing is avoiding seeing part of the reality of what's happening, in my opinion.
