Just wanted to thank you for noting the connection between Firesign Theatre (that's me and my three partners) and KPFK. It's a long story, but indeed, we were indeed spawned by the mother salmon in the days when I was the Drama and Literature director for the station.

Take a look at Firesigntheatre.com and all the relatedness. We seem to be alive and well. Just lost the Grammy for the third time. The distance between loser and nominee grows shorter with the years.

I found your blog in researching from NY Times article, I think. I keep intending to blog myself, but haven't got around to it yet. I've continued to hang onto this site and several interesting links. Thanks.

Weirdly Cool, The Firesign television special that was on during the recent KCET (L.A.) pledge drive was wonderful - and the first time I'd seen (rather than listened to) this group that has had such a huge influence on my life.

Also, some years ago some part of FT did a live audio-only simulcast (turn the sound down on the TV, turn on the radio) of the Rose Parade; it was hysterical.
