DOC- Six years ago Jackie joined the Board of Directors of The Auditory/Oral School of NY.The purpose of the school was to offer all parents of hearing impaired children in NY the option of mainstreaming their children socially and academically into society(that means we teach them how to think,talk,and communicate like regular kids).It is working! The school was started in 1999 with 2 children- today with 48 children. We were deeply moved by Jackie's passing and have waited till we were on our feet before embarking on creating a memorial for her. She lent her support and help during our start-up years- and most importantly believed in us.We would love to perpetuate her memory. You've got "game"-Where is the best place to start?
