Quite so, and it's by cultivating readerships, shared circles of interest and sense, that people can find alliances of people who show a pattern of useful advice and information, whom they may trust to help inform them about geopolitics, economics, the tech industries, whatever. (Since I just used the word "trust" I'll probably blog something like this in conjunction with Jacob Shwirta's request for commentary on trust earlier...).
