For updating to 10.1.2: http://www.apple.com/macosx/upgrade/softwareupdates.html Has the instructions in small print at the bottom right. The small print says: Installer Update is required for any future Mac OS X updates. [Nov 8]. Their is also a security update there that you might need: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120086. If I remember right you should do things in the following order: security update, installer update, 10.1.2 update.
