The Titanium laptops configure easier and faster than any other laptops on PERL Whirl, the Geek Cruises seminar aboard the Holland America Veendam. Today was our first full day at sea, and there were PERL seminars going on in numerous conference rooms, all of which are using wireless access. After fine tuning the location of the access points for optimum coverage, there are now reports of wireless Internet access in a number of cabins. I verified this on Neil Bauman's balcony, with his Titanium laptop. Although the Geek Internet Cafe is now located in the Library, Neil and I agreed that the wireless access in the Explorer's Lounge, plus the gracious asian girls serving champagne, no longer qualifed the area as an Internet Cafe, so we have renamed the Lounge the Geek Internet Country Club. Tuesday we go on a private tour of Aracebio in Puerto Rico, visiting the labs.
