I'm talking analogies and metaphors here. Not identicalities. The center of gravity in the construction business is in services, not manufacture and distribution. Early in its history (where we are now), the center of gravity in the software business is in manufacture and perhaps distribution as well. I think this will change as *both* get bigger. To Rusty: I see what you mean about Coke, but Coke is the Microsoft of its business. Not the analogy I'd like. More in another post...
