Maybe I'm missing something, but is there a good reason why can't she use your SMTP server? Most ISPs don't check the address in outbound email - usually they're just checking the source IP to limit outbound mail to their customers. Most of the laptop owners I know have their outbound set to "mail", since that works as-is most places.
