I believe what this means is that the most popular desktop UNIX is actually ... Darwin. Interesting, no?
It's not a surprise to the Mac-savvy, who've been predicting that this would be the case. It's why Tom pitched a couple of sessions on Darwin and OS X for Linux Lunacy a few months ago. Neil didn't think that they'd be worth it at that point, but I'll bet a year from now it'll be a different story.
