Mt. Wilson, Schneier
Check out the "wall of steel" photo of the Mt. Wilson complex, from which nearly all the TV and FM stations in the LA area radiate.
I can't remember if I told you that exactly one week + 1 night before the 9-11 (labor day), I was up on Mt. Wilson in evening, looking up at the towers and down on the city and, north of the ridge, watching the just-past-full moon rise. On the last mile before reaching the towers, I made a flip comment to my friend that if a terrorist wanted to disable communications in L.A. here's where to do it. Yikes. On 9-11 I hastily took back those words. Have been too unnerved to publicly mention it (well, I guess, until now).
I see you linked to Schneier, too. (A friend forwarded the email to me n I linked it, too.) Amazing article. I really appreciate the rationality of his discourse in response to the "let's legislate all these problems out of existence" hysteria.
