Been at the beach much of today, for the annual sand castlefestival. After heading over to the school for a potluck and back, we were struck by the river of smoke coming south and west from beyond the ridge of the Santa Ynez mountains.
This was, and still is the Day Fire, now twelve days old and past 30,000 acres, yet still only 30% contained, in the Los Padres National Forest in Northern Ventura County.
