Parsing remarks
| | Miller's methods are essentially Woodward's. She just had the bad manners of choosing the losing side in an interagency tug of war and the bad luck to be subject to legal scrutiny that the saint of Watergate has miraculously managed to avoid. Reporters who elevate one while denigrating the other are revealing their joy at the scandals' outcomes while letting the victors rewrite their profession's ethics. |
Off Base
| | Jeremie: Content hosted on Google Base is exclusive, and not available to any other search engines. |
| | Normally I don't pass along posts that cry "evil". But Jeremie (father of Jabber) is about as sane as principled as they come. |

Busyness
| | I was in meetings all day yesterday. (In fact, I'm still in one, and it's still yesterday as I'm writing this. The blog is on Atlantic time, while I'm on Pacific.) So I didn't get a chance to look at much on the Web, much less blog about it. Kind of a bummer, since I did a lot the day before the last day of Syndicate, and there's lots to follow up on. |
| | Today is almost all meetings, after which I drive the rental Chevy back to Santa Barbara, and resume normal Holiday time with the family. Can't wait. |
