Been there, shot that
| | Today's pic is one I put up already, last April. Shot it while flying from Baltimore to Los Angeles. The subject, Navajo land that's been home to a zillion car ads, is a place our family visited, between camping stops at Mesa Verde and the north rim of the Grand Canyon, in our Big Trip West from New Jersey in the summer of 1963. For kids (me, 16 and my sister, 14) who had only been west of North Carolina once (on a trip to North Dakota in 1958), the landscapes were one mind-blower after another. |
