Reburning Bush
| | Are both still running on Windows? Or something else? What blog system are they running? Can anybody tell? |
| | For that matter, if anybody from the Bush Campaign feels like talking about their tech, I'd love to hear from them. All the tech action has been on the other side of the field. Be nice to hear a few words from GOP hackers too. |

Bowling for Bowie
| | The kid and I were sitting outside last night, looking at the stars, when we began to hear loud music, as if from a party up the street, only larger and more cacaphonous. The voice was unmistakable: David Bowie. After wondering for a while about the origins of the sound (there were no cars parked on the flanks of the steet, telltale signs of a party somewhere... and ours is hardly a loud-party neighborhood in any case), I realized that we must be hearing the the Santa Barbara Bowl, which is nestled into a natural ampetheater at the base of our hill, about a quarter mile away. Was Bowie playing? I wondered. Sure enough: He was the season opener, apparently. Coming up: Seal, Willie Nelson with Lucinda Williams, 311, Tony Bennett, the Gipsy Kings... |
