Fool for thought
Cluetrain conduction
| | Some nice Cluetrain pointage going on at the W6 Weblog, which serves as a worthy iceberg for 1800FLOWERS, among other corporate cruise ships. |
Home on the road
| | I'm back at the old place, after a long and extraordinarily scenic trip from Santa Barbara to San Jose on the Coast Starlight train. Prettiest $45 I've spent in a long time. This is the perfect time of year, too. We're past the rainy season, the hills are still green, and the wildflowers are in fullest bloom. The coach accomdations are about the same as first class on a 747, but without anybody nagging you about your seat belt. |
| | As for the old place: it's for sale, dressed up for open houses, broker tours and such. Without the family here but with the belongings arranged to give the vague appearance of actual habitation the place seems to be in a coma. I'm counterintuitively careful not to disturb anything. Not easy. |
Discount Suckage
| | Come to think of it, my local phone company here in Santa Barbara is Verizon, and yeah, they've been cool so far. So there ya go. |
| | And here I go. Catch you at the far end of the train. |
