Contentectomy
Just learned on Jeff's Weblog that Business 2.0 did a hatchet job on Tim Cavanaugh's original piece about Jesse Jackson. Kind of extreme, if it's true.
Radical honesty
TuxTops bares all in its product descriptions. Talk about clueful. Wow.
A brief against The Dark Side
I just posted an open letter to Meg Whitman of eBay.
It's been laying around my desktop several days while I nursed my back and wondered if I should send it. I'm not a heavy eBay customer, though I think I'm pretty close to winning my first auction there. (Don't you dare try to out-bid me!) And maybe I read eBay's users wrong. Maybe they'll tolerate advertising on eBay's pages. Maybe eBay isn't selling its soul by hiring AOL's sales force to fill eBay's pages with advertising. And maybe eBay's constituency really doesn't give a shit.
But I think they do. And I want to keep pointing at eBay as an exemplar of cluefulness.
